The book starts by an introduction, followed by a chapter about oil as a source of energy and raw materials, and a chapter covering the industrial chemistry of synthesis gas. The main four chapters of the book are devoted to the industrial chemistry of ethylene, propylene, butenes and butadiene and finally the aromatics.5/5(5). Key words: Brand equity; Purchase intention; Application Based Cement, Consumer Behavior 1 Saviru Cement (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo, Sri Lanka 2 Department of Commerce & Financial Management, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka 18 Assessing the Impact of Causes for Low Labour Productivity in Garment Industry in Katunayake Free Trade Zone J. K Vithanage1.

The book can be categorized into three parts: sample preparation and instrumentation techniques, application examples, and olfactometry. The nal two chapters discuss MS-based electronic nose applications (Chapter 13) and the chemical structures of avor and off-avor chemicals in various types of foods (Chapter 14).5/5(3). An adhesive composition comprises: (i) at least one ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer, (ii) at least one tackifÊer; and (iii) optionally at least one additive, such as a plasticizer, wax and antioxidant. Preferably, the ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer has a Mw/Mn from about to about , at least one melting point, Tm, in degrees Celsius, and a density, d, in grams/cubic centimeter, wherein.

Depending upon the method whereby it is polymerized, it can be produced as low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, or polyethylene of several other densities. Table also illustrates that several of the products made from ethylene deriva- tives are themselves further reacted before finding some consumer use [1–6].5/5(1). In general, high density polyethylene (HDPE) has a density that is greater than g/cc, linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) has a density that ranges from g/cc to g/cc, and low density polyethylene (LDPE) has a density that is less than g/cc.

Similar pyridine-imine complexes bearing a single ortho-disubstituted aryl imine moiety were reported to yield very low M-n polyethylene. In earlier studies, "sandwich" diimine nickel catalysts. Linear Alpha olefins are extremely versatile and have applications in the manufacturing of a number of important chemical products such as alkenyl succinic anhydrides, drag reducing agents, Poly Alpha Olefins, lubricants, oilfield chemicals, Alkylbenzenes, fuel additives, plasticizers, detergent alcohols, low density polyethylene (LDPE)and High /5(13).

In this contribution, we explored the copolymerization of propylene with higher α-olefins, including 1-octene (C8) 1-dodecene (C12), 1-hexadecene (C16) and 1-eicosene (C20), by using a dimethyl pyridylamidohafnium catalyst.

A series of copolymers with varied comonomer incorporation, high molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution were obtained at mild : Fei Yang, Xiaoyan Wang, Zhe Ma, Bin Wang, Li Pan, Yuesheng Li. Shien and Chuang studied the thermal properties of low-density polyethylene (LDPE)/linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) blends compatibilized by VTES.

First, silane was melt grafted onto LDPE and LLDPE by means of free-radical grafting, : Lei Hu, Pascal Y. Vuillaume. Characterization and determination of thermal and radioluminescence properties of low-density polyethylene (LDPE)-(nanozeolite + Y 2 O 3) composite. Linear alpha olefin is employed in a wide range of applications due to their chemical properties.

Based on application, the market can be segmented into detergent alcohol, synthetic lubricant, low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density /5(10). The crystallinity of polyethylene, which significantly affects the properties of the polymer, is quite sensitive to the concentration of its branches.

Thus, it is necessary to estimate branch concentration with reasonable accuracy. Currently, 13C NMR and gel permeation chromatography–Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy are widely-used analysis methods for the analysis of branch Cited by: 7. Interestingly, the sec-butyl branches were observed in polyethylene depending on polymerization temperature.

Polymerization of 1-alkene (1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-decene and 1-hexadecene) with C1-MMAO at room temperature resulted in branched polyolefins with narrow Mw/Mn values (ca. ), which suggested a living by: EPA2 EP EPA EPA2 EP A2 EP A2 EP A2 EP EP EP EP A EP A EP Cited by: 1.

This invention relates to polyolefin compositions. In particular, the invention pertains to elastic polymer compositions that can be more easily processed on cast film lines, extrusion lamination or coating lines due to improved resistance to draw resonance.

The compositions of the present invention preferably comprise an elastomeric polyolefin resin and a high pressure low density type by:   A 4-methylpentene polymer having: a unit derived from 4-methylpentene of 90 to % by mol; a unit selected from ethylene and an α-olefin, other than 4-methylpentene, having 3 to 20 carbon atoms of 0 to 10% by mol; and the polymer satisfying the following requirements: (a) a meso diad fraction measured by 13 C-NMR within the range of 98 to %; (b) a ratio of Z-average Author: Masakazu Tanaka, Masahiko Okamoto, Makoto Nakano, Sadahiko Matsuura.

Porous polymer spheres are generally prepared by the seeded polymerization with linear polymer seeds swollen by the same monomer, a cross-linking agent such as divinylbenzene, a diluent, and an initiator, followed by extraction of the linear polymer and diluent.

For example, Cheng et al. studied extensively the synthesis of porous. Non-limiting examples of olefin homopolymers include polyethylene (e.g., ultralow, low, linear low, medium, high and ultrahigh density polyethylene), polypropylene, polybutylene (e.g., polybutene-1), polypentene-1, polyhexene-1, polyoctene-1, polydecene-1, polymethylbutene-1, polymethylpentene-1, polyisoprene, polybutadiene, poly-1,5.

Thermoplastic SMPs are important class of polymeric-based shape memory materials. In this class of SMPs, two phase morphology is the main cause of the thermally induced shape memory effect. One phase causes the physical crosslinking, and the other phase behaves as a molecular by: 5.

Most hydraulic fracturing fluids are water-based fluids that serve two purposes: to create pressure to propagate the fracture and to carry the proppant into the fracture. Proppants are solid materials that are used to keep the fractures open after pressure is reduced in the well.

The most common proppant. This banner text can have markup. web; books; video; audio; software; images; Toggle navigation. Studies by the EPA show that streams can be vulnerable to changes in water quality due to water withdrawals, most notably smaller streams or during periods of low flow (U.S.
